Llàgrima de Superna 2020 and Marges 2020 Gold Berliner Wein Trophy 2021
Son Vich de Superna Winery, traditional and artisanal winery in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, has been awarded with two gold medals in the winter edition of Berliner Wein Trophy 2021.
It is one world biggest and Germany’s most important wine contest. With the highest quality standards, it is among the most strictly controlled wine competitions worldwide.
The prestigious event has awarded with two Gold Berliner Wein Trophy 2021 the Son Vich de Superna winery for its wines Llàgrima de Superna 2020 and Marges 2020.
In this competition, only 30% of the presented wines obtain a medal, this is, only the best are recognized. Son Vich de Superna wines stood out among more than 13.600 wines of 40 countries who participated in this edition of the contest.
Llàgrima de Superna 2020: Very pale pink colour, with very light orange reflection, typical of Mantonegro. On the nose we find red fruits, such as strawberry and raspberry, citrus notes of
grapefruit, white flower, and delicate balsamic hints with a gourmand finish. Blush teardrop rosé wine from the coldest vineyards of the Tramuntana region, providing fresh aromas and balanced acidity.
Marges 2020: Pale yellow in color. Its fruity aroma is mixed with spicy notes of the Mantonegro grape. The vines are grown in the coldest areas on the dry stone walls of the Superna Valley.
Berlin Wine Trophy: Since the patronage of the OIV in 2004, the Berliner Wine Trophy has become the world’s largest wine competition and Germany’s most important international wine challenge under the patronage of the OIV and the UIOE. BWT brings well-known producers and distributors from around the world together every year, and the number of samples submitted is steadily growing with almost 14,000 entries yearly. Son Vich de Superna Winery is a mountain winery which uses traditional and artisanal methods, a Petit Celler. Located in the heart of the Serra Tramuntana, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Located between the towns of Esporles and Puigpunyent, is one of the highest wineries in Mallorca.
