At Son Vich de Superna we already have ready the first wines of the new season, Viognier 2020, Marges 2020 and Llàgrima de Superna 2020.
These are the young wines of the winery, those we bottle after finishing the alcoholic fermentation of the grape and after maturing the wines on lees, which will give the wine better texture and body. Differing from the red wines, these whites do not mature in barrels nor do they undergo malolactic fermentation.
Viognier 2020: Golden yellow. A wine which entry into the mouth is very voluminous and unctuous, appears a certain saline character typical of Mallorca island. It comes from a slope of the Serra de Tramuntana exposed to the spring. With few hours of sunshine and deep soils that allow a very long maturation, with much acidity and great aromatic balance.
Marges 2020: Pale yellow in colour. Its fruity aroma is mixed with spicy notes of the Mantonegro grape. The vines are grown in the coldest areas on the dry-stone walls of the Superna Valley.
Llàgrima de Superna 2020: Very pale pink colour, with very light orange reflection, typical of Mantonegro. On the nose we find red fruits, such as strawberry and raspberry, citrus notes of grapefruit, white flower, and delicate balsamic hints with a gourmand finish. Blush teardrop rosé wine from the coldest vineyards of the Tramuntana region, providing fresh aromas and balanced acidity.
